For the preparation of this assessment, I completed a detailed action plan, listing out the different areas I will need to research, as well as identifying the basic outline of the passage and collecting my research and bibliography. I used a variety of different sources such as newspaper articles, educational websites, governmental organization websites and videos. During the process of this essay, I focused on the providing detailed evidence of how the three factors mentioned above have played a part in the buildup of social tension or acts as the catalyst of the event.
When I was writing the essay in class, I felt that it was a good opportunity to practice my skills in a in-class essay as I we do not often get such opportunities to work under a time limit in class due to the structure of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program. It helped me prepare for the upcoming humanities exam in April.
I feel that I have successfully discussed the factors that have led to the serious consequences of the genocide within this assessment. This task had also taught me that it is important to be alert and care for the issues that occur around your surroundings. The change in our society can cause great impact to the people and events in the area.
